Cornhole project
This semester we focused on Probability and studied the following topics: The Fundamental Counting Principle, Relative Area, Permutations, Combinations, Tree Diagramming, ‘e’ and logarithms, The Law of Large Numbers, and Theoretical and Experimental Probability.
1. Describe a time when you struggled or felt confused, and how you overcame those feelings to understand the content.
For the most part I felt like I did well in math this year. I did feel confused a lot and there were too many times to give you a specific example but every time that did happen I would make sure to ask for help, whether that be from my peers or from my teacher. So I did get confused but that never stopped me from my learning, it never became a problem.
2. Describe the process and results of doing the Law of Large Numbers Activity and how that shaped your understanding of “real” math.
3. Discuss what expression in mathematics looks like. How does being clear, precise and accurate help your growth in math and how do we build our reasoning skills through doing math.
4. What math does your future hold? What passions and goals do you have and how does math fit into those plans?
I'm not sure what I want to do just yet but one thing I know after all my years doing it and being in the word is that math is everywhere. Any job or field I decide to pursue math will be a part of it. So my goal is to make sure I remember that because a lot of times I forget and I don't take it seriously which is bad on my part.
