I learned a lot about myself. I learned that just because I don’t have any actual work doesn’t mean there’s nothing to do. I had to get up and ask for work. She didn’t just keep giving me tasks. She trusted me to stay on task and ask for more when I finished. This all really showed me how important communication is. When I would help with the kids camp sometimes schedules had to be moved around so I had to make sure to communicate with both my mentor and with Gaby, who was the teacher for the kids camps.
